flos

beryl - diamonds - sapphire

flos

flos exists in a state of unfolding. petals open outward in a wide movement, allowing light to pass through stone and metal alike. the entire composition holds blooming as a continuous expansion of form through space.

at the center rests a tiffany-colored beryl surrounded by an open structure of petals. gold releases the density of a closed form and moves into lines, curves, and intervals of light. the surface of the metal works together with the air between each element, creating a rhythm of opening.
diamonds are scattered across the petals and edges of the form. they gather light from different points of the composition, sustaining a shimmer that moves across the entire surface without a single center of gravity.

the name flos comes from Latin and means a flower in the moment of full bloom. In botanical texts, the word described an open form – flowering as an action, as a phase of expansion into the outer world.

flos is crafted from 14k gold, a central beryl stone, diamonds, and sapphires in a sculptural botanical composition.

green beryl reads differently in every light – not blue, not green, something that shifts between them without settling. iron gives it this instability. the stone is transparent to the core; nothing is hidden inside it. it belongs to the same family as emerald and morganite – beryl in its clearest, most open form. where emerald is dense and closed, green beryl lets light pass through and keeps moving. worn close, it carries the temperature of water just before it warms.
